Salisu is a seasoned and experienced IT professional, with over 30+ years in the Information & Technology world with exceptional management skills which has contributed to his unequalled achievements in his service in the public, and private landscapes. He currently serves as Director ICT, International Centre for Islamic Culture & Education (ICICE) and CEO / President AntzHub Limited which he contributed immensely to the successes of the companies so far. Salisu’s over 32 years working experience in the IT Sector began in the United States of America. While in the United States, he held various teaching, technical and managerial positions at Yale University, Automate Data Processing (ADP), Savin Corporation, Norwalk Hospital, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Hospital of Saint Raphael, Lexibridge Corporation, Connecticut Department of Revenue Service and Federated Systems Group / Macys. His glaring and definite abilities in leadership, organizational decision-making and team building provided him with the opportunity to hold positions of Director Business Development with Essex Management Centre (EMC) in Essex Connecticut, USA. In 2010, relocated from the United States with over 32 years’ experience in the IT sector to join the cabinet of the Kano State government under the leadership of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau’s as Senior Special Assistant. Through his vision and leadership Salisu coordinated the implementation of Kano ICT Park, State Databank project, development of websites for 31 for State’s MDAs and several ICT related projects in the state. He initiated and coordinated a 15-man study tour to Silicon Valley in California USA under the leadership of the Governor of Kano State. The high-powered delegation established critical business relationships with HP, CISCO, Google, Oracle, Microsoft, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and some US based Nigerian owned IT companies. The trip to Silicon Valley he organized resulted in the endorsement of the park and opened the gate for Bill Gates to make his first trip to Nigeria to help the eradication of polio in the country. At the expiration of Shekarau’s administration in 2011, he was invited to join the management of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), as ICT Director for the Centre. Because of his strong technical background in analysing complex processes, he was invited to serve as a member of ICT Technical Working Group of the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP). He also served as Executive Director, ICT & Projects Implementation with Sobanjo & Partners Limited. In addition to his role in public service and private sector, Salisu has served as the National President, Zumunta Association USA; board member, Nigeria in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Americas; National Assistant Secretary, Nigeria Information Technology Professionals in America (NITPA); lifetime member, Black Data Processing Associate (BDPA); CMD Accredited Trainer, and several local & international IT and non-profit organizations. He has also coordinated management and IT workshops for senior management in public and private organizations including NNPC, CBN, FIRS and FERMA. Salish has also led a team of Forensic Expertise to conduct computer-based forensic tasks after the 2011 and 2015 Nigerian elections for eight political office candidates. Salisu received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in computer science from University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA in the early eighties. He has broad based experience systems design, development, implementation, operation, and support. Salisu pool of experiences and qualification plus his dedication to duty, discipline, efficiency, and commitment to excellence, has positioned him to lead and serve in higher capacity.
