A chartered certified accountant (ACCA United Kingdom) who qualified in London College of Accountancy in 1966 with post qualification experience of over 20 years, worked in the Public Sector, the Private Sector, and the Third Sector in the United Kingdom. Over the 20 years, he worked in several Inner London boroughs (Local Authorities) as senior accountant, finance manager and financial controller. In an Audit Firm in the private sector, he worked as part of audit teams at various audit assignments. In the Third Sector, particularly in the regeneration (rehabilitation, reconstruction, redevelopment and resettlement) sector across Inner and Greater London, he worked as the Director of finance, Human Resource and Central Services in one of the leading Regeneration Companies, Urban Futures London Ltd for over 14 years. Before moving to the United Kingdom to study accountancy and after graduating from the renown Advanced Teachers’ College, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as a professional teacher, he worked as a senior lecturer in Jakusko Secondary School Gashua, and the then Borno Teachers’ College (now Borno State College of Education), Maiduguri both in Borno State (1979 – 1982). On return from the United Kingdom in 2015, he fully engaged in politics on the APC/Buhari presidential campaign team as a member of various campaign committees. He subsequently served in various voluntary projects such as coordinating the distribution of relief materials as well as skills acquisition programs for Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) in Borno and Yobe States organised by National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and IDPs and other humanitarian support groups. In May 2017 he was appointed as part of a 7-Man Interim Management Team of Abuja Investment Company Ltd (AICL) where he served for one year as Director/Head of Assets and Subsidiaries of the company. AICL is a Multi-Billion Naira Investment Company and Commercial arm of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, with 7 subsidiaries (including; Abuja Mass Transit, Abuja Markets, Abuja Property Development, Eagle Square, International Conference Centre) and over 11 associate/affiliate companies across the Capital Territory.
